I am looking to run a couple small fans back by my amps, does anyone know if I can use the power antenna lead off of my AlpineCDA9884 to a relay for the fans? Or can I also use the remote wire to the amps also to the fan relays, I do not know, isn't it just a signal wire.

The antenna lead is just a signal wire, yes, but it is only on when you are listening to the radio.  You can use the remote on signal to trigger a 12V relay to switch on your fans if you want them on any time the HU is on.

thanx DYohn. I am going to use a couple 12v fans off an extra desktop CPU I have laying around. I guess will run the amp remote wire also to a relay to trigger the fans, both amps will need the airflow cause they are going to be in a confined space. Like the power antenna wire, I was thinking the amp remote wire was also just an extremely low amp signal wire. A relay wont use much power, I just did not know if the amp remote wire could handle an amp or so.
