I installed a clarion deck in my girlfriends car. Everything turns on and looks like its reacting but no sound. Im hoping that the audio output chip is screwed. Heres the interesting part...the factory harness was of course cut, and I cant say that makes me happy. I had the cd player in my mustang and I had to hook the power antenna to the factory amp wire for it to play speakers. Does anybody know what color that wire would be on a 95 Pontiac Grand Am?

This should give you the colors of the factory wires in the grand am.  If the vehicle has a factory amp, which I don't think it does, but still if it did, you'd need to connect its turn-on wire (sometimes the same as the antenna turn-on in the radio harnes).  OR you can bypass the factory amplifier in which case there's no need to turn the factory amplifier on.

Thank man...I tried finding it on here but I must have missed it. Thanks for the help. Im guessing thats whats going to do the trick. The odd thing on my mustang with this deck was that I didnt have a factory ampbut the car still had a factory amp wire, and as soon as it was hooked up the stereo worked...Im hoping for the same result this time. Later...thanks again.
