i have a headlight flasher "alternating" type  i am trying to locate the positave wires for the high beams on a 1998 olds 88, where do they originate? the diagrame that came with the flasher says i am to cut the feed (+) between the lights and connect the positave's from the flasher inbetween them.  there is no inbetween that i could locate . the seprate sides, from each headlight, both seem to go to the engine compartment fuse/realy area ?  hmmm.   also the flasher only flashes when it has a 12 trigger, from a source...

check the wires behind the right headlight.
yes it will only flash from a switch that will give it 12v. make sure you use a fuse...
Good Luck
