I am having trouble getting this thing to start. I am curious about the ignition wiring. The 05 TC has starter, second starter, ignition, and second ignition. Which of these should I be utilizing? At the moment I have the Starter (black), Ignition (blue), and Second Ignition (yellow) connected to the Skytec RS-5000. Should I be using the two starter wires? I can get the vehicle to run in the setup sequence for remote starting (when you have it running and press the start key, apply hand brake, and get out of the vehicle). I just can't get it to start on it's own. I do have the clutch switch connected to a relay and connected to "ground when running". Also the "ground when running" is connected to the Immobilizer bypass module as well. The immobilzer module is an Omega PKT-2.

I just don't know if my problem is in the ignition/starter wiring or with the immobilizer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jeff

you need to hook up the 2nd start wire(green) with a relay and also the accy wire(gray).I think this will solve your problem

I do have the accy wire connected. So how would I connect the second starter to the relay and what would I use to actuate the relay? What exactly is this doing? Thanks.

Your second starter wire can be energized using a SPDT relay. Connect a wire from pin 85 to your starter wire off the remote start. Connect pin 86 to ground. Pin 87 to 12 Volt constant and Pin 30 to the vehicles second starter wire. Some vehicles just require 2 start wires. This is very common in Nissan vehicles. If your still having issues with your starter, I would check your clutch bypass. If I remember right the clutch circuit is kinda goofy on these vehicles. I have not done a manual TC for a couple years now.

Definitely need the second starter wire or it won't work.
The accessory wire just powers the radio, power mirrors, and other non-essentials. I leave it unpowered to keep the radio off during remote start, but it's up to you.

Thanks for the details. So I will just use the signal from the "starter" wire coming from the remote starter to a relay that powers 12v to the "second starter" at the ignition. Yes, the clutch is different. It has two switches, one at each end of the pedal swing. I wired to the switch at the floor becuase it would make sense that it would indicate the clutch being pressed in.

I'll have to check to see if that accessory powers the heater. I need the heater to be on when running.

The second ignition wire on this remote start can be programmed for a second starter.

Do I need two ignition inputs? Or can I program the second ignition to be the second starter?
