I installed the crime stopper remote starter on this vehicle about two years ago. The customer seem to come back every year complaining about the unit is killing his battery. Last year, they found another issue, so we reconnected and now here he comes again. I measured the standy current draw and with the unit I measured 60 mA and without the unit I measured 30 mA. According to my notes, the average draw should not exceed 30 mA. Would this kill a battery? The odd thing is when I had my meter in series with the battery negative cable, I did not get any reading until the meter was set to the 20 a scale. I read .06 A and .03 A respectively. Does anyone know the average current draw from the unit itself?

I was told from the folks at Crimestopper, that the 2016 draws about 20-30 mA...so it is right on. He also told me it would take about 4 weeks to drain a battery.
