Hello,

I am adding an Alpine PDX-5 to my 06 F150.  I will be replacing the 4 door speakers with Infinity Kappa 682.9cf's.  These speakers handle 100w each and the amp puts out 100w to each.  I called my local shop to get an estimate on install (since its cold and I don't have a garage!) and they said they would not upgrade the wire on this install.  Said that the factory wiring in this truck would be sufficient to handle the added wattage.  Is this correct?

Yeah it won't be any problem. I mean if you really wanted to you can run new wire to the speakers themselves but really no need to. I just installed that amp in a car. Really nice amp.

I too would be running new wire. Sound like the shop wants to get you in and out asap so that they can move onto the next install. Two ways to do it, the proper way or the shortcut, you choose.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
