My girlfriend had a prostart starter installed in her 02 Corolla a little over a year ago.  She recently lost the remote so I picked up a new CT-100 prostart (Looks exactly like the one she had before)  It cam with instructions telling me to turn off valet switch and turn it on again.  But as far as I know there is no switch.  I'm not sure what model the starter is but like I said the remote matched the old one (black with 2 grey buttons)  How do I program it properly?

Flash the hood  pin. (Push  pin down and release. Push down again before parklights go out. The p/l should now stay on).  Turn key to ignition and then off. Push and hold lock button on remote. Should be golden!

OK I tried the hood pin and the lights never came on... is it possible it could still work?  I even tried holding it down several seconds.  I tried with and without the key in the ignition and nothing happens...  Is there something wrong with the pin now?

Thats an old one ct-100 was it? For proper programming you need to have a good hood pin connection. Just do what saskpuller said. Your park lights should flash once and then stay on. If you got nothing from the lights then check your hood pin for proper operation. Rust, corrosion, or an open may be your problem, or worst case a bad module......

Good luck.
