I have a 2000 Chevy TrailBlazer with the Bose sound system (Amp, 6 speakers, remote control on steering, etc.)

I noticed that the amp was in the center consol between the seats...

as my CD player is no longer functionnal, I would like to know if it is possible to install another radio that I would connect to the amp, and if it's possible, what is the wiring...

yes you have two options

1. the cheap way using a standard gm wiring harness (dont know the model off the top of my head) the catch is you will have to run an accessory wire to your fusebox or ignition and you will lose your retained accesory (keeps radio on after ignition is turned off until a door is opened) you will also lose all warning chimes if they curently play through your speakers.

Option 2.

buy an interface harness which will keep your retained accesory and will keep you from running an ignition wire. this is pretty much your only option if you have onstar or the bose system.

Option 1. cost about 13$

Option 2. cost around 120$

Is the Pacific Accessory Corporation #PAC-OS-1Bose is suitable for what I want to do...

And by the way... is there an interface available to keep remote controls on steering working??

By the way, I don't have the onstar system...

So :

Chevrolet TrailBlazer 2000

Bose audio system : amp, 6 speakers, cd player w/o cassette, remote controls on steering wheel (Vol, mute, seek.)

No onstar system.

can anybody tell me what do I need to install a Pioneer receiver??

by the way... can anybody tell me if a Double-DIN receiver would fit in place of original radio...

that adapter should do ok. a double din CAN fit but i wouldn't be surprised if a little trimming of your dash is needed for it to fit correctly. steering wheel controlls are a little tricky though. you need to find an adapter that is for a pioneer radio AND for a chevy. for that i would go talk to someone at a shop to see what you need for your steering wheel controls and because they are a pain to install.

I know i used a PAC unit for mine on the Navigator. I cant remeber what number or what all vehicals/ decks it worked with but im betting they make one for your needs. Talk to your local shop they should be able to find the one you need.
