Hi, I just got done installing a viper 5701 with an xk532 transponder module. Well everything works great, except the part where the module is supposed to be programmed to the car. I follow the steps to program it and when I get to step 3 the security light just keeps flashing slowly then faster then slow again. Is it possible my module is bad or is my car locked out from letting me reprogram?

What way did u learn it? I usually take the circuit board out of the bypass box and hold the little hot-glued microchip next to the cylinder...If its a fob key system make sure u disassemble one of the remotes or are able to power up the ignition...
1st Key, Turn On Ignition and in wait for light to go out
2nd Key in and leave IGN on for about 10-15sec u usually hear a chime and the security LED will start blinking
Now either use the blade part of the key or power up the ignition while holding the circuit board chip next to cylinder, never failed this way, as long as the chip hasnt been programmed to another car u shud be good!

Well I got it to working finally, so now this is going to come in real handy for the cold temperatures. My only question is there a way to keep some of the things coming on when it remote starts? Like my headlights, they come on when the car starts, but the car doesnt have automatic headlights. Also I'm sure its in the alarm manual, but is there a way to stop the cars alarm from arming itself each time the car starts? Thanks
