subs cut off red light on amp

Hi All

I'm running a Startsound 1200W pmpo 4ch amp and 2x 12" Starsound DVS 1500W each on the Starsound amp. I have had the setup for 1 year now without problems. Now all of a sudden when I go over a uneven piece of road that causes the car to slightly bump the subs cut off and the green power light on the amp goes from green to red. If I turn the radio off and then back on it usually turns the subs back on and the red light on the amp turns green again. Other times when I turn the radio off then on after the subs cut out they still remain off and the light on the amp is still red. Sometimes the subs will only start working the next day until i go over a small bump that is.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

A loose connection where you grounded the amp to the vehicle.  Or a bad solder joint on the circuit board of the amplifier.  Or a speaker wire is touching ground or another speaker wire.  Check all your wires, especially if they are under your box.  Try hitting on the amp itself to see if you can make it cut off or start playing.

Checked the ground wire and it's screwed on tite and no wires touching eachother. When the amp cuts out I tried hitting it to see if it may turn back on but no luck.

I did notice however when the amp cuts out the led light goes red, Now if I turn the radio off and back on the light goes green and if there is a beat/bass it will cut off straight away, If there is no beat and just a melody the amp will stay on but as soon as the beat/bass kicks in the amp cuts out again with the red led. The only way It will start working again is if I leave the radio off for a while then after a couple times of turning it on it will work again.

Could it be a bad solder joint?

ok will try hitting the amp at moderate volume this afternoon and will post what happens.
