i have 1 4ohm mid(infinity) and 1 4ohm tweeter(infinity) i want to make them into a 4ohm load and use a resistor to not have the tweeter as loud... how would i go about doing that??? i was thinking to use a 5w resistor(idk what ohm) and a cap for the tweeter like a 5.6or something..

You need to build a proper 2-way crossover that also includes a low-pass for your woofer (and the load will be 4-ohms, not 2 if you do that.)  I suggest using 10W resisters for building a tweeter L-pad.  Take a look at the crossover resources and calculators in the left frame of this site, and maybe read some tutorials to give you an idea of where to start.
