I recently had installed an aftermarket radio on this 02 Focus with factory mach 500 audio system. Thought I'd share my findings:
The standard wiring harness kit for after market radios works. (I mean it can be purchased at any audio store FWH-594). However, the Mach 500 audio system (similar to the shaker500 found on mustangs) is equipped with a 12" subwoofer and two amps pwering the woofer. This is the third harness found on the back of the factory headunit. I managed to make it work by using the RCA Sub out of the aftermarket stereo in mono. Here is the the wires used.
WHITE/ RED stripe     Factory amp turn on.
WHITE/ BLACK stripe   (+) Low Input.
Grey/ Black stripe    (-) Low Input.
I couldn't find any info on this system so I'd thought I'd post my findings here.

Just had to do one of these today. Great info. Worked perfectly.  Also throwing in a 3000k resistor helps todrop the aftermarket radio's  +12v amp turn-on outout down to +5v.
