Hey guys, I removed a code alarm system from my buddies truck and when he puts in in reverse and goes over 1000 rpm it shuts down, any idea why this would happen

I know the 2500s will honk the horn and do all kind of crazy things if the door is open and you attempt to back up.  Is there a possible door trigger wire issue?

What exactly are you saying?

Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.
Story - Phzzzt! Hey, what happened?! ... Isn't it obvious?
Moral - Never dismiss the obvious.

Why are you saying it is ok for a couple minutes?  I think that is what he is asking about.

i don't know about that year ram

but i have repaired several fusebox/computers in newer rams but not that new

the ones i serviced usually had a parking light or headlight problem

anyways they have a pc board attached to the very bottom of the fuse box

they coat the board but the coating seems maybe not applied properly or had fallen off

this leads to corrosion of the board

its the fuse holder in the left front under the hood

i can't say that thats your problem but maybe its something you could check
