warrantech/repair master extended warran?

Has anyone ever gotten an extended warranty through these guys? Are they worth it at all? Is it just a scam? I worked in retail where I have seen an extended warranty help lots of people and a lot of people that would have been better off getting one to begin with. I know that it is a gamble but if you need it then it is a god send. I’m just wondering how legit these guys are. I’m looking to buy very soon so any help would be great.

p.s. I’m looking at a pioneer avicf700bt.
