put a remote start in a basic model silverado.  security light stays on when started with the key.  I used a bypass kit plzap bypass which requires you to cut the red white wire.  The truck remote starts and runs fine just has the light on.  I took that bypass out and reconnected the wires and the light still comes on with the key.   I installed a gmbp bypass and it programmed and when started with the remote start the light goes out but stills stays lit when you start it with the key.  how can i get the light to go out?

thanks

Sounds like it's in "Fail Enable" mode. This is caused by a lack of communication by one of the devices - caused by an open circuit. The system lost the valid r-value after it started and the engine was running. The passlock is bypassed and the car can be hot-wired. Not good.

Re-check connections.

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.
