hey i have an 06 pontiac torrnet that my sis is buggin me to put in her head unit an i went to get tha install kit an wire harness an tha guy told me since it dont have onstar or a bose system i can use tha basic gm wire harness an just add an acc wire since tha vehicle doesnt have 1. does anybody think it would b ok to do this?

if you use one of these two harnesses you should be fine

if the car does not have bose or onstar like you said then it would be perfectly fine to just use a normal wire harness but just know that the only function you will lose by doing this is the door chime because it is generated by the factory radio. if you want to save the door chime then there are harnesses you can buy that do this.
