Ok so my 2 12" JL w6 v2 box got stolen, AGAIN, (at least the didnt take the amp this time,)  And i was checking out the JL spex online for a replacement.  My old box only took 800 watts rms.  I checked the specs and the same box, same model number ect..... takes 1200 watts now.  Does anyone know what the difference is?

I guess this is a good thing for me since my subs seemed to move quite a bit when bumping it hard and my amp (JL 1000/1 class D) was not turned up a lot at all.  So I was hoping that the new subs would either crank out some more dbl's or at least would be moving as much.

Anyone hear anything??

heres a link to the spex:

The w6 v2's used to take 400 watts each now its 600??  Thats a huge jump without an explanation.  Also take a look at the old power chart, its still shows the old values.  Typo maybe?  I hope not...........

call it a guess, new cooling technology or some other parts/design change. W6-V2 vs a W6-V3, the difference of 200 watts between models isn't that huge a jump.
