Having some issues with the door locks and the remote start

I have an Audiovox Prestige 996 with the red and green lock/unlock wires that switch between +12 and ground that can be hooked up to +12 volt or ground triggered vehicles depending upon the application.  There is no factory alarm on the car and I've got the lock/unlock wires hooked up to the brown and pink wires in the car.  The vehicle will lock but won't unlock.  Using a wire hooked up to a ground I can tap the pink and brown wires and get the vehicle to lock and unlock.  I've also treid using the pink/blue and WHITE/ blue wires and I've tried setting the unlock signal to a dbl pulse with the same results.  Any thoughts on what I need to do to get the unlock to work?

Secondly the Remote start, I'm using a 555U bypass module.  When I remote start the car starts and runs for only a few seconds and then shuts off.  I tried putting a key in the ignition in the off position and then remote starting and the same thing happens.  Any thoughts on this issue?

It might be worth trying a relay to boost the ground signal from the Audiovox signal, or diode the outputs, bands toward the prestige,  second point, sounds like one of two things,  you haven't energised enough wires at the ignition,   or tach not learned.

Ok, I got the RS working.  The issue was the tach was not learned.  I had the RS unit in another vehicle prior to this one so it was getting the wrong signal.

As for the unlock problem I tried the relay and also the diodes with no success.  Got any other ideas?

Have you tested the output on the audiovox it sounds like you have no output on the unlock trigger
