I already have an Audiovox Prestige APS787A remote start alarm and a DEI 555LW Passlock module which I would like to install in a 2002 Escalade. Is there anything I need to look out for before I get started on this? Anything "special" about intalling this setup on this vehicle? Is it easy to get to the BCM Module (where most wires are located)?

Just thought I would get a heads up since I have never did an Escalade before!

Thanks in advance!

Mo

an easy vehicle. the BCM is easy to get to and its a straight forward install. just be sure you power the white 2nd ignition wire also or you will get a transmission code and the transmission will not operate properly.

Go to the download section, there is a good install guide there with pictures for the 2002 Escalade.   Some good pictures of the BCM connectors.

Wow, thanks arhunter but I noticed that they have a Tahoe in the pictures and that vehicle looks completely different from my interior, motor, etc. BUT is the wiring colors and locations the same??

I think most of the wiring is  the same for the Escalade, Tahoe and the C/K trucks.     I would verify the connections at the BCM with a voltmeter before connecting anything.

Tahoe, Escalade, pickup....all pretty much the same.
2003-2006, the pickups have a second brake wire you can get to more easily than on the SUVs, but that's the only difference I've ever seen.

Ok thanks guys - but I did notice something in that download guidel that kinda got me a little confused - they show a Reverse Polarity door lock setup for the vehicle they have in their guide but I did not see anything about this in the wiring diagram. So do I need a reverse polarity door lock / unlock module for my particular vehicle?

Thanks again!

Assuming the Escalade is exactly like the C/K trucks the door lock/unlock signals are positive at the BCM, except the driver door priority unlock is negative at the BCM.   I think they put that wiring diagram in there in case your remote start unit only has negative trigger outputs.    I used a door lock module to convert the negative trigger outputs to positive signals (except for the driver door priority unlock).    Check out this spreadsheet I made when I did an install on my son's 2002 Silverado.
