The  car is 05 monte carlo, has after market radio. My remote wire came loose and I think it hit ground..causing radio to turn off. I found car radio fuse blown...put in new fuse. I have power on red batt wire on radio, but no power on yellow rem/acc wire. both fuses checked good. What else could it be? Is radio dead?

The aftermarket radio requires voltage on both it's red (Accessory) wire and it's yellow (constant 12V) wire in order for the unit to come on.

It gets it's power from a fuse in the fusebox.  It may be labeled Radio Backup.  It will probably be a 20 amp fuse.

I've checked all fuses I can see...still no power on acces wire. Haynes book shows a fuse #38 might be it on wiring diagram but I can't find it in either of the 3 fuse panels I found. Is anyone have any knowledge on the monte carlo wriring?

The 2005 Monte Carlo only has a battery feed to the radio. You need to check where the ignition feed to the aftermarket stereo is connected to. Check that circuit for power. It may have an inline fuse.

The inline radio fuse is good..I jumped the acces wire to another 12+ run wire and radio comes on but can't turn car on with key when is jumpered. What color is the access on the factory hareness?
