running 2 amps?

Hey guys, So I just bought new Orion amps and a dual amp kit, but I am curious do I need to have the amps close to each other? I was hoping to put 1 amp under the passenger seat sense I have a sub in my center console and then put my second amp in the trunk tucked away in the wheel well to power my speakers. Will this work or do I have to have the amps closer together? Thanks Keith

There is no problem with mounting your amps at different locations.  However there may be a problem with a dual amp wiring kit.  You may have been better off with 2 single amp kits.

If the distribution block accepts 4 Ga. wire in all 3 connections, you could run the wire from the battery to the frontmost amplifier, into the distribution block, short wire to that amp and long wire to the amp in the trunk.

Sweet! Thanks man! I was worried that I would have to keep the amps close together for power reason. Glad to hear that is not the case now I can have my amp tucked away and close to my sub for wiring purposes :) Keith
