I am wiring an Audiovox Prestige APS787A remote start alarm system in a 2002 Escalade and the vehicle has a "2nd Accessory" wire but the alarm does not - just one accessory wire on the alarm! What do I do in this situation? Wow it has been some years since my last alarm install - things have changed a bit haha.

Thanks!

Ok I did more research on Google and I am not sure but, do I have to wire a seperate relay to power up the 2nd accessory from some sort of "trigger" / "constant on when running" wire (to trigger the relay)??

you could use a relay and wire it like so
85 to first acc
86 to ground out while running
87 to fused 12 volts
30 to second acc

Not everyone on this forum agrees, but most of us don't power up the brown, Accessory 2 wire.
This way, the wipers will also remain off during remote start, which I think is better, because they won't ever be dragging across a dry windshield, or stuck in ice.

Hi, I was wondering about that too - if I did not power it up - but I am not sure what else it controls - do you happen to know? I do not mind if it wipers, etc. then I do not think I would go ahead and use it...hmmm.

I have to agree, on an 02 Escalade you really don't need it....
