Has anyone had troubles with a 2003 Nissan maxima that unlocks the doors when the trunk is opened. If so is there a way around this? I did not do the install. All I know is that it is a autostart remote starter. I am guessing that it is a feature in the car itself that unlocks the doors automatically when the trunk is unlocked. If there is a way to get around this I would like to fix the car for this person. Thanks in advance.nissan maxima 2003 - Last Post -- posted image.

There's usually a GREEN/ Black in a white 27 pin plug at the SECU module below the steering column which you need to pulse with a ground at the same time as you send your trunk release pulse. It will disarm without unlocking the doors.
Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

Also, be aware that the trunk button (on the driver's door) might not work with the car locked and the factory alarm armed.
If you do resolve/change the car's unlocking every time you open the trunk, keep in mind that depending on how it was wired, the trunk release might not work without unlocking the car first.
