Passkey 3+ is on most if not all gn cars now. can anyone give info on how good this system is at protecting a car from getting stolen. plus whats the difference between passkey 3+ and passkey 3?
plus is this better then a starter kill?

Any car is stealable theog28. As soon as something new comes out some bypass comes out. its technology. Starter kill is no different. Its actually a nuisance because if you drop your remote or sumerge in water, the typicical customer cant start your car with the alarm going off (for those high end alarms with just one lcd remote.).

i know there is still ways to steal a car but i was asking how hard does this system makes it. just looking on the internet a little and some forums are saying this system its pretty close to perfect unless they tow the car.

GM's Passkey III + system combines both Passlock II and Passkey III into one system. The fact that the key uses a transponder makes the system as fool proof as possible. Short of someone stealing your keys or towing the car, it is safe. Adding a starter kill is overkill, unless of course you haul around fortune in gold in the trunk. If you want more protection add a good alarm system that includes a shock/impact sensor, covers all doors, hood and trunk. You can add a pager and even a tracking system. They are all a deterent and prevent a total loss. You need to determine if anything extra is necessary.
