just wondering if anyone else had ever installed a H/U. in a uhaul truck for a long distance move? just thought would throw it out there. we used a multi ford wire harness no mounting kit and pluged the ford am/fm back in before we droped the truck off at uhaul.

Never heard of that one.  But I have heard of many people renting a Dodge Neon from the Birmingham Airport and driving them to the Talladega Grand Prix Motorcycle track and installing a roll cage in the car for a weekend of Autocrossing at the track.  Moral of the story, NEVER purchase a Dodge Neon from the Budget Rental car, Sales lot.

I installed a radio in a rented house boat once for a week.  I brought my "portable" radio which was a 10" prefabbed sub box with 2 6.5" speakers and a Pioneer deck installed in it for our little trip.  Well, my unit was a little too small to hear throughout the boat and the boat had a stereo with lots of speakers in it already.  So, we picked up some band aids from the dock store and I used them as electrical tape to tape all the wires together (didn't have any harnesses with me).  At the end of the week I rewired the old deck using band aids again.  I' m sure that no one has ever noticed (or the boat caught on fire and sunk).
