bulldog remote starters

We currently install bulldog remote starters from jbs technologies. we are new to this site and haven't seen many postings concerning bulldog remote starters. we are currently looking for a more reliable product with more helpful technical support and dealer involvement. We have installed well over 100 of these remote starters and find that there may be a problem with the model 791 by-pass module. The problem is noticed on GM vehicles using pass-lock 2 anti-theft system.  When bypassing this system, we use a bypass module from bulldog which automatically learns the resistance value of the vehicle. It appears that when the temperature in Northeast Ohio dips below 10 degrees F, the resistance in the key cylinder changes beyond the 5% allowed by the bypass module and the vehicle wont start. once the theft system resets, the vehicle will start with the key. does anybody else have this problem, secondly, we are looking for a new dealership with a reliable product and tech support. thanks for your help. Honestly, I've never heard of any professional shop installing Bulldog products---they're mainly sold at wholesale clubs and mass-merchandisers, and even come with the video for do-it-yourself installation. I've installed one Bulldog remote start; I think the customer had gotten it as a gift or something. It had its strong and weak points: -It was very installer-friendly, which you'd expect for a DIY product. -It has ouboard relays, which makes installation more time-consuming. On the other hand, though, it is easy for the installer to make modifications to the relay pack for certain applications. And I guess this means you could easily replace a broken relay---but I've only seen two relays fail, ever. -The brain and remote looked a little cheaply made. -The "antenna" was just a long piece of wire---it's hard to keep it straight for good reception, and even then, the range is lousy since it's buried under the dash somewhere. -You only get one remote---this is unacceptable for most customers. -The unit had negative parking lights only---you'd need a relay to do positive lights. Where I work, we use Audiovox products. Honestly, they're the most installer-friendly units I've ever worked with, are fairly inexpensive, and are very reliable. They have onboard relays for ease of installation, and also have plenty of extra outputs that should enable you to install them in almost any vehicle. There's an onboard parking light relay, which the installer can easily set up as negative or positive. The hood pinswitches come with nice brackets that make them easy to install. The antenna sticks to the windshield, with a separate cable going to the brain---this makes for better range. Since I'm just an installer, I don't know much about dealer involvement----but I've never seen a rep visit us from ANY alarm/remote start manufacturer, even when I was with Best Buy or Circuit City. You also might consider Directed (DEI) products. In my opinion, they are a bit overpriced, and are awkward to install---they have offboard relays like the Bulldog, and I think there are just too many wires running all over, and it's a challenge to make the installation look neat. And their least-expensive unit comes only with negative parking light output, and only one remote. On the other hand, they're probably the most reliable things made, and their tech support is better than most.
