Has Anyone worked on the 08 Grand Cherokee? If so I need to know where the factory amp is located the customer has requested a high level be done to retain his stock gear.

The CHTO-03 interface is designed to allow the user to replace the OEM radio with an aftermarket unit in select amplified 2007 Chrysler and Jeep vehicles and retain the use of the OEM amplified audio system. The CHTO-03 will also retain the retained accessory power convenience features if the vehicle is so equipped. In addition to these features, the CHTO-03 now has the required outputs for the installation of a navigation radio.

If the customer wants to keep the OEM deck and just wants to add an aftermarket amplifier then you can use a PAC C2A-CHY3 and this provides a 4-channel pre-amp output signal for use with aftermarket amplifiers. This interface uses the full range fixed level headunit output in conjunction with CAN-bus messages and delivers a 5v RMS (max) pre-amp output with fading and balancing capabilities.
