Hey I drive a 2006 Ford F150 and it has a 110amp alt. I was wondering if i could use the HC800 battery for my electrical system. ( not my audio system)

I then plan on buy a second HC800 for audio later.

Or should I just buy 1 HC2000?

well bigger is better in this situation. so if you can swing it id go for the bigger in front smaller in back, But the 800 btw is to small of a battery for your starting one anyways,.

If you are adding a system that demands THAT kind of power, then running a second battery on a stock alternator is the LEAST of your worries. Once charged, an SLA battery will only demand a couple of amps, WORST CASE. I also recommend strongly AGAINST disparate batteries. With the two different kinds of batteries you have right now, you won't be replacing the alternator as often as you are replacing one or both batteries.

WHATEVER kind of battery you choose, (I say red-top, others here will say Kinetik, other still... yellow-top) if you are using multiple copies, you will ALWAYS want to use identical ones, even down to the age of them. DO NOT MIX BATTERY TYPES/CAPACITIES/AGES, EVER.

Alrigt im about to get the big 3 and i wanna get a battery under the hood even if i dont have one in the back yet. I have a Hifonic BXI2408D and T3002. so we can just estimate it around 3000 watts.

Will having a red-top battery do better than having a "Ever start" form walmart? and if it is... is it because it can charge and discharge more rapidly?

About what size-Red top & Yellow top would be good for the build to?
