I got it!

I am not an installer, just a guy.  I have an 09 Aveo and figured out the remote starter connection.  Thought I would share since there is no info out on there.

The wiring is very different then the 2007 - 2008.  Here is the ignition setup.

The ignition harness has 5 wires; brown with black, red with black, orange, red with white, and light blue.

Step 1 - Connect +12v to the orange wire.

Step 2 - Connect +12v to the light blue wire to wake up system

Step 3 - Remove +12v from light blue wire

Step 4 - Connect "brown with black" wire to "red with black" wire using a relay and a 1300 ohm resistor (5 volt computer circuit)

Step 5 - Turn off relay and re-connect +12v to light blue wire.

I used an Astra 1000RS and here are the connections:

"Ignition 1 Output" to orange wire

"Accessory Output" to Light blue wire

"Starter Output" to relay (when powered on, relay connects "brown with black" to 1300 ohm resistor to "red with black")

The steps are CRITICAL, it has to be done in that exact sequence to work, but it works perfect every time.

Tomorrow I will start on all the other connections, plus finish up the power windows and the power door locks (drivers side doors both finished, passeger side not started).

Boy......Installers earn thier money!!!

I know my ingnition cylinder had the receiver, but I didn't need a bypass?!?!

Seems like there ia a lot of "Generic" junk put in all of the cars, even if it isn't being used.

Must be cheaper to make them all the same under the dash then trying to keep track of which car has which options.

Also, the power windows and door locks were wired all the way to the molex connector at the door jamb.

I guess it might be easier to add stock power windows and door locks then doing a custom/universal kit.
