If the vehicle has a factory transponder a by-pass from Fortin etc. is absolutely neccessary, it won't work without it. You'll have to vrefer to the vehicle wiring section on this site.

Howie, had to put truck to the side for a couple of days but I'm back on it  with the remote start. I have a black key, Do I really need a an imobilizer bypass? I doubt it that I have a transponder. Would it be possible to obtain a good descriptive example on the wiring in reference to the Starter Kill and Remote startI understand that 2nd ign.must be programmed to read a neg. load when in the running position. Is this correct? Is there any resistors that need to be used on a 2004 for the start up on the remote starter? All help and input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have found the subject of immobilizers alittle contridicting in reference to having a black key for my application listed above.. I saw a note saying that you need one even if the key is black and I see also the opposite, black key = do not need an immobilizer. If you do not need an immobilzer, Can anybody give me any pointers in the correct direction in reference to how to wire this portion of the alarm with the diagrams supplied above? I am a first time installer and would like to know alittle more details on this subject. I have everything in and ready except this part. Thank You
