Man, am I blushing big-time right now.  Made myself look like a total nut job...

NEWS FLASH: it works fine now!  Yep, that's right.  All I did was move the blue output wire from the sensor to a different trigger wire on the alarm box.  Since there were several I hadn't used, I had a few choices.  Tried the violet for + door trigger, no luck.  Then tried the green one that is for - door trigger input (rather than the original wire I had used) and BAM!  Works every time!  So it was supposed to go to a negative trigger, just not the one I was using.

So, thanks so much for all your advice and recommendations.  I knew if I didn't give up, something would happen.  And it did.  The glass breakage detector works awesome!  Now I just have to mess with the sensitivity.  Right now, it sets off the alarm by just tapping my ring of keys (all, not 1) on the windshied.  That's fine, but I think I might need to back off the screw just a hair.

With your help, and my not giving up on it (hey, it was already hooked up to + and - and was there, so I needed to keep trying), it works just fine.  You were right, these DEI 506t's do work excellent.

Thanks again!  Apparently this thread will be closed soon.  And for anyone else who has any brand of Omega alarm and wants to connect the DEI 506t to it, it's the green - door input wire, right between the yellow and violet.  Just don't forget to use the 1-amp diode that DEI says to use.

Now I gotta run around the block skipping and jumping and hootin' and a hollerin' from sheer excitement.  The 12Volt comes though once again!  Oh, and a little side note to where I've got a HUGE amount of wiring info for my Stratus wiring and alarm and electronics stuff was right here in The 12Volt.

i am an idiot
