i connected everything up. model eqs746. it lights up, no sound coming from the eq to the amp. disconnect eq, just head unit n amp. got sound. defective?

There is a button at the front of the unit...it switches between the line in and aux in. press it to switch. try both the inputs (line -in, and AUX-in)
