Ignition Wiring for Viper 5901, 01 Celica

I've got a viper 5901 for my 2001 toyota celica and I'm a bit confused as to how I need to wire the ignition wires. For my car I need to isolate the ignition wire as described in tech tip #1077. It seems the viper 5901 accounts for this, but I'm a bit confused as to what exactly I need to do.
There are 5 wires that reference the ignition wires for the 5901.
1 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT
2 RED / WHITE (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY INPUT 87
6 RED (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 1 INPUT
7 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY OUTPUT
8 PINK/BLACK (+) FLEX RELAY INPUT 87A key side (if required) of FLEX RELAY
then on my car there are the two wires for ignition:
IGNITION 1 BLACK/ ORANGE (+)
IGNITION 2 BLUE/RED (+)
My first concern is that the pink wire for the 5901 is used as the input for the ignition, as well as output. If I wire it with a relay like shown in Tech tip #1077, it wouldn't have any way to know if the key was in. Should I connect the red wire to the car side of the ignition wire? In the description it's the "polarity feed" for the ignition #1 relay.
The pink/black wire description is what specifically mentions tech tip #1077. It says I can connect the pink/black wire to the key side of the wire, and then the pink/white wire to the car side. Would I be able to wire it like that, and then splice the pink wire from the 5901 directly into the blue/red (ignition 2) wire on the car?

I would wire the Viper's pink wire directly to the Ignition 2 in the car.
Then, use those three "flex relay" wires for the Ignition 1 wire that needs to be isolated.
If I'm remembering right (only installed one of those newer Vipers):
RED / white: constant
pink/white: ignition 1, car side
pink/black: ignition 1, key side.
And then, since your pink wire is connected to the car's Ignition 2, it'll still receive the proper input for programming purposes.

Over, so just to verify:
1 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT <--- direct connect to ignition 2 wire
2 RED / WHITE (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY INPUT 87 <--- this does have to be connected to the constant +12v? there is a RED / white white on the primary harness that connects to +12v constant
3 ORANGE (+) ACCESSORY OUTPUT <--- directly to accessory wire
4 VIOLET (+) STARTER OUTPUT (CAR SIDE OF THE STARTER KILL) <--- start side of starter wire
5 GREEN (+) STARTER INPUT (KEY SIDE OF THE STARTER KILL WIRE) <--- key side of start wire
6 RED (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 1 INPUT <--- this is the "polarity feed" for the ignition 1 relay, I ignore this?
7 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY OUTPUT <--- car is of ignition wire
8 PINK/BLACK (+) FLEX RELAY INPUT 87A key side (if required) of FLEX RELAY <--- key side of ignition wire
9 RED / BLACK (+) FUSED (30A) ACCESSORY/STARTER INPUT <--- again, the "polarity feed" (no idea what a polarity feed is) to the accessory and starter relays. Do I ignore this, or connect to +12v?
