Chances are the amp has one or more shorted output transistors.   Do you have a digital camera and a digital meter?

ok idiot (no pun intended) i went out and hooked it up and the protection light popped on and the wire fell out so i put it back in and it wasnt on,hooked it to the subs and its got sound but i turned the gain, bass boost down, but im not able to turn it up at the moment,i did turn it up half way for a few sec.and sounds fine,so my question besides my others could my fuses be weak so before it pops them it goes in protection mode.or its got a bass boost on with the dbs on it,gain, and crossover,..im not sure what ohms my speakers are or my amp if its putting to much of a load.thanx for any and all information

Is it a 2 channel amplifier?  Is it bridged on the 2 speakers?  If yes to both questions, you really need to find out more about your speakers.  Or if that is not possible, connect one speaker to each channel of the amplifier.   You can not bridge the amp into a load less than 4 ohms.
