These are both entry-level pieces...hard to say which is going to be better...sounds like you have some pretty decent equipment...either wait for something higher-end to fall off the back of the truck...or just pick one...Again...i would rec'm something w/ sub-out

A sub output usually has a few characteristics that a regular preamp out won't have.
1) it isn't affected by the fader control
2) It usually has it's own volume or gain control
3) It can usually be filtered by an internal crossover.
