Okay, so I just took a look at this setup some guy did for me 3 years ago. I never paid much attention to it because he worked for a stereo shop. But now that I actually looked at it (because my capacitor was messed up so i hadda get a new one) I noticed the type of wiring that he did, and I wonder if it was incorrect.
Here's how he did it:
The 0 gauge battery power wire is fed into a dblock. The dblock then distributes 4 gauge wires to the capacitor, the two amps, and the crossovers. It's the type of dblock where it has both negative and positive connections, which makes it pretty confusing looking. Then all of the negatives are grounded at 1 location.
My question is:
Regarding the area where he fed the 0 gauge battery power wire, was this step incorrect? I have read that you should feed the battery power wire into the capacitor. From the capacitor, run another power wire to the dblock.
Does it make a difference if you do it his way? And also, is it acceptable to wire it his way, or was it incorrect?
Thanks in advance everyone.

I run a similar setup 2amp / cap/ etc. I ran my power wire directly from the battery to the cap and then split it from there to the amps skipping the dblock and the line break,{ (just more to think about if you have a problem). I used 0gauge to the cap (+)then 4guauge right over that. then just ground as normal (one common area make sure you got bare metal). hope this helps

I'll second the cap distribution.
