Im going to be installing 3 to 4 sets of digital designs components in my yukon My question is should i hook the tweeters up to the alpine head unit and use caps on them or should u hook them up to an amp along with the mids

You should use the crossovers that come with the component set.

Your radio puts out no more than 18 watts per channel. If you have a decently powered amplifier, you should not connect anything to your radio's speaker wires.
