Does your radio or amplifier have a built in crossover?   On the amp it will be a switch with these settings.  LPF/FULL/HPF
i think it does, the amp has three or four small knobs and those letter are very familiar, i think i saw them on the amp.

LPF = Low Pass Filter, it only allows low frequencies to pass through the amp.

HPF = High Pass Filter, it only allows higher frequencies to pass

FULL = Full Range, it allows all frequencies to pass.

Some amps are different, you may have to try it in each position and see what works best for your amplifier.   There may be a knob very near that switch also.  It may be labeled Crossover Frequency, after you figure out which switch position works best for you, you may want to give that knob a twist and see what it does.
