So i hooked up my cap, yeah i know caps are old news but im hookin one up for now. But anyways when i turn off my car the voltage meter on the cap stays on when i turn off my car. Should this turn off?
The way i did it was the power cord from my battery goes to the cap, then another from the cap goes to the power slot in amp, and another power going into + cap connection on amp, and a negative coming from - on cap to amp, and the cap is grounded. It works, my lights dont dim, but i dont now if the meter is suppose to stay on. Maybe it's just showing how much power it has stored...i dont know
Thanks for any help!
Mike

If there is no remote turn on wire on the cap, it has a current sensing setup.  When it senses a change in voltage it turns on.  It may take an hour or so for it to turn off.  The current draw of the meter is minimal, leave it tonight and before you turn your system on, check it in the morning to make sure it is turning off.
