old soundstream vs crunch

Hi, I'm putting a system in my boat and I am going to be using 4 10inch Kenwood KFC-w254MW. They are a single 4 ohm vc rated at 50-200 watts RMS and 700 watts peak. My question is that I already have an oldschool Soundstream Rubicon 702 that I can use or should I look at something bigger? I don't want to spend any money if I have to but if I do I want to keep it under $150, that is why I would look at Crunch. Please help, I know nothing about electronics but keep in mind that this is in a boat, just like a convertible, the sound is not going to be perfect because of the open environment. Will the soundstream amp have the power to run all 4 subs? I was told to over power speakers and turn down the amps rather than under power a speaker.

Set the amp gain properly and wire the subs properly it will work just fine.Support the12volt.com
