jensen vm9410 wont turn on

my jensen vm9410 is acting weird. the red power button comes on, but nothing happens. the only sounds i hear is when i push the buttons they beep, but nothing else. i checked the radio fuse, truck fuse, and tried resetting it and nothing. screen wont even flip out. any help greatly appreciated!!

Make sure the yellow wire has +12V. and the red wire has +12v with the key on.
The unit is supposed to bet and eject CDs with the car off. I think the wiring is not correct.

i thought it was my wiring too but i already took the radio out, ran the red and yellow wires to + terminal on battery, and ran the black wire to the - terminal, and it still does the same thing.

did you check fuses on it. might be something your over looking.
i had a flip screen have a problem like that. had power but there was a blown fuse for the screen. might be the case.
Can't be loud then don't have it.

If the unit comes on enough to beep when you press buttons, it does have power on both the red and yellow wires.  Missing power on either of these wires will prevent the unit from coming on enough to beep at you.  My vote is for a defective unit.  They will not sell any internal parts for that unit.  You will have to ship it back to them, they charge a flat rate of around 200 dollars to repair them.  I know the 9312 flat rate was 175.  I am guessing on the 200.  Contact your dealer or Audiovox to get an accurate price.

damn, thats not what i wanted to hear lol. ive read somewhere it could be the capacitor(sp?), but not sure how i check that or even change it.
