Info:
1991 300zx TT, Crime Guard 750i5, aftermarket door actuator (2 wire)
Hi,
I have nearly finished my first alarm install but I cannot figure out how to properly wire the onboard relays for locking/unlocking the doors. I have everything else working perfectly.
This alarm has two onboard SPDT relays which by default are for locking/unlocking.
I am given these wires: COM, 87, 87a
There is also 3 wires that come from the alarm brain that give door locking outputs (lock, unlock (driver priority - not using), unlock (all doors - using)).
From what I can tell I should be wiring it like this:
"Lock"
COM - door actuator
87 - constant 12v
87a - lock output - guessing this goes to the green DLS port wire
"Unlock"
COM - door actuator
87- constant 12v
87a - unlock output - DLS unlock wire
Wiring like I listed above does not seem to do anything though except arm/disarm the alarm. My guess is I am not properly activating the relays. I am sure I am missing something simple so any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I just did that and they work. It was the 86/85 throwing me off for some reason.
Or should I say it will lock the doors but the actuator barely moves when trying to unlock the doors. That is probably a bad connection, all of the door lock connections are temporary and not soldered at this point.
Thanks

sometimes, it can overwhelming to take in more info than you need to.
the simple electro-mechanical switch, aka relay, can be a great source of mobile security knowledge.
