I was wondering if there is a way to know how loud you can pound your subs without blowing them? I guess im a little paranoid about blowing them.
I have 2 10" Kicker CVRs (800 watts all together)
Profile Califronia 2800 amp (800 watts bridged)

learn to listen for distortion. use a subsonic filter if you have a ported box or a large sealed box. set your gain the right way.  and learn what a burning voice coil smells like

Guess you have to blow a few subs first to learn that part.

i figured that, but i didn't know for sure so i cleared it up for you.  couldnt tell if you were being serious or not so i didnt take the chance. personally, i have never actually blown a sub in my own system,  but it is a very distinctive smell when a sub starts to fry.  and several years of working in a shop that sells crappy equipment gets you aquainted with that smell very quickly.how to prevent blowing subs? - Last Post -- posted image.

Use the proper equipment to tune your amplifier i.e. oscilloscope and preoper tuning disc.
