I'm running relays to my amps and wanted to know if there is a way to wire a "Soft off" for them. My sub amps turn off hard and "pop" my subs. This does not happen with the other amp, only the sub amps. There is some electrical noise through these as well but once again only through the sub amps. Everything is wired through the cap and distribution block. The ground is a clean body mount in the trunk at 0.0 ohm tested against the battery.

With the radio on and playing, If you remove the remote wire from the bass amp does it  pop?

I am wondering if this could be a a side effect of Field Collapse in the relays? Just a thought.

The statement "There is some electrical noises through these as well"  makes me want to ask if you have a Pioneer radio.   If the noise is associated with the relay, the following picture will solve that problem.  I still need to know if you remove the remote wire, does it still pop??

Sorry about the delay. I removed the remote wire from the amp with the car running and the system on. It did pop as well. I would think it was a ground issue, except that it's only heard through the subs and all components share the same ground.

What type of car is this?
Some relays actually have diodes built into them to keep the hard turn off from happening, all the ones I use do at least.

His problem is his amplifier. He removes the remote wire from the amp and it still pops. The above diagram will fix the problem. When he turns his radio off, the relay will open to kill the speaker.   The cap and diode will keep the amp on briefly, so when the amp makes the pop, there will be no speaker connected to it.

If a tree crashes in the forest and there's nothing there to hear the sound, did it make a sound?
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
