how to run 40 12 2ohm quad voice coil's

I have 40 12" 2 ohm quad voice coils to install into a competition van and i was wanting to know if any body knew how to hook that all up and make it where 10 10,000 watt Rockford Fosgate Amplifers @ 2 or 1 ohm's would be stable to push all 40 12's and what i would need to put this project all together. Also how would i wire up a rca box with 1 input and has 40 rca outputs so i can run all of them off my alpine iva-505 subwoofer output.

The amps, I thank it will work but not really sure that is alot of RCA's coming from one source So don't quote me on that. If the amps have a input and output you can run RCA's to the first one then connect each one to each other Ex main Rca to amp then Rca to amp2 Then to amp3 then amp4 you get the picture rightCan't be loud then don't have it.

As far as the wiring of the woofers: Pitting the coils in series on each woofer, the parallel to the amp: 5 amps woth 8 woofers each at 1ohm. Or 10 amps with 4 woofers each at 2 ohms. Man I hope you have enough alternator power... Lol. The rca problem depends on your choice of number of amps.

Well you don't need one-in 40-out, if you're running ten amps you'd need one-in 10-out.  I hate to say it but if you're asking this basic a question do you really think you're ready for a large show car build like that?  In any case, a line driver or two would be your friend.Support the12volt.com

I just re read the post and you are right Dyohn he does have 40 RCA outputs Thanks funny. Did not even notice the first time i see it. Thanks for pointing that outCan't be loud then don't have it.

how do you make a 1 in and 10 output rca box for the amps?I'm the one you want working on your vehicle or your subwoofers

What RF amps are you running that's 10K? Check me if I'm wrong but the T15K is their biggest amp and no longer appears as available. Matter of fact all RF's big stuff seams to have disappeared. You might be able to loop out of each amp but a line driver would be advisable. Group say 2 per output. Your going to want a good quality unit, not some crap Audiobahn or MA etc . . . With your "100,000 watts" of power, you will need 8,000 Amps + of Current. The Big 3 and a Cap would be a good place to start. . . I agree with the above. The RCA distro is the least of your worries. Power, space, and weight just to name a few.

A project case and a dozen Switchcraft panel mount RCA jacks. And some wire to connect them together.
