I am trying to figure out how to wire my speedometer so it will illuminate when I open the door like the newer Acura's and other cars. Anyone have any suggestions ?? I want it to still work normally but illuminate for a certain amount of time like my interior lights do but I don't want my interior light switch to control my speedometer on and off.

I have a 95 Acura Legend not that it matters in this situation but you never know might spark some ideas.

You would probly need to find the color code for your vehicle's cluster and then wire a relay to the door trigger so it can trigger the relay in order to switch on the dash lights as you desire!!! please remember to fuse your power wire...

Connect at your own risk!!!!

Is this a digital dash...? Do you have a Multi-Meter to test polarity,etc...?
