I am running:
Kenwood KDC-X693 HU
Rockford Fosgate P600.1bd amp 2 ohms for the Subwoofer
JL Audio 12W6V2 wired at 2 ohms.
Rockford Fosgate P3002 for front Components
Polk Audio db 5.5" components
Rear speakers out of the rear channel from the HU.
When I am listening to any type of music at a low to medium level the subwoofer cuts out at random times. I don't think I have ever experienced a cut out at a med-high volume. Never the components or rear speakers
1 pair of RCA's to each amp from HU
1 remote wire from HU to subwoofer amp and chained from that amp to the components amp.
I tested the load on my sub with a MM and get a 1.8 ohm load.
No loose wiring on the sub, inside the sub box or coils.
No loose wires at amp or HU.
I don't think there is a pinched RCA or Speaker wire anywhere. I did the install myself.
--Where would you suggest I start to trouble shoot?--
I have no access to another amp but the one from the components and no access to another subwoofer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Please contact me if you have any questions on any of my set up.

When the system cuts out on you, does the amp shut off or is it still ON ? Also, test the (+) wire for voltage drops when this happens. If the voltage drops below 11 volts then there's a problem with the fuse or the connections inside the amplifier.

Thank you for your help.
The sound cuts for about 1-2 seconds so is hard to tell. Usually happens when I am driving, but also when I am at stop lights and such. I do have the amp "boost" control by my steering wheel and the light does not turn off when it happens.
But I think the sub takes a while to shut the lights off when it turns off. I might need to sit in my truck and have a DMM with me to test as it happens.
This might take a while since sometimes it goes days and no issues.
