Apologies if I sound stupid but new to installing alarm/starter especially when it comes to negative trigger and so on. Trying to use doc 1084 to hook up the remote start but i'm totally confused about the negative accy wire and negative start wire it asks for on pin 85 for both relays, the truck only has the PURPLE / brown wire for accy and start. Also do I runa 12v to pin86 on the second relay. and help on this would be great thanks

What type of remote starter are you trying to install?

what is the year of the truck?  1500 or 2500/3500?

85 and 86 are terminals that drive the relay, so pin 85 wires come from the Rs unit not the truck. You connect the negative accessory to one and the negative starter wire to the other from the remaot start. Pin 86 would then go to positive. What type of Rs are you using?
