I'm adding this field disturbance 2 stage sensor to my system. I know that the blue and green wires go into the multiplexed input (blue wire), but I'm not sure if I should ground the black to metal or to the ground-when-armed output of the alarm. I know if I'm using the voice module or separate siren chirp relay I should use the g-w-a output to turn the sensor off when the system is disarmed, but if I'm using it with the 564T only, which method is correct? Don't I want it to do the same thing?

Either way will work fine....I typically just go straight to chassis ground with the black wire.

Either way should work. I've done it both ways. If you have it to the gwa, the sensor won't be on 24 hours a day forever. Make sure to diode isolate it from the starter kill.

I don't have a separate starter kill relay installed. Does that matter in relation to using the g-w-a output?

Another question: Does anyone know which wire on the double guard shock sensor is +? red or white?

Red and connecting to GWA is better in theory, less battery drain but in practice the above answers are correct.

So since a starter kill relay is not connected to the g-w-a output, there is no need for a diode, right? If there was another device connected there such as a window module, would I need a diode? If so, what color oe what value diode?

Please excuse my obvious inorance. My member status is accurate.
