Hey I've ordered some Infinity Referance 6.5's and I've read they are good for hi's and midrange but not very good for low base.  They come with crossovers at 3500hz for the tweet and woofer.  The freq response is suppose to be like 72-21k.

I was wondering of u guys think I should run a passive crossover to the woofer at like say 100hz.  I do that now with some kenwood 2 ways that I have in the rear (fill) at 180hz and they sound lots better (they say the range is something like 43-20k but at low freq they distort quickly).

BTW I've got a Rockford HX2 using 854wats from a Rockford 400s in a sealed box so my lows are pretty much covered.

Thanks for the advise,

Paul

What are the specs on the HX2?  Do you have a low-pass crossover running on that one right now?
